About Me

MY PASSIOn

I am passionate about working with couples to help them learn how to confidently navigate conflict together, to understand each other on a deeper level and to strengthen their connection. This is important to me because when I first got married, I didn’t have the skills and navigating arguments was DIFFICULT. But through my Master’s Program and our own Couples Therapy and Individual Therapy we have learned to understand our conflict cycle and make sense of it. I now know that things don’t have to be messy and overwhelming and I love helping couples find that same confidence and closeness because IT IS POSSIBLE and THERE ARE ANSWERS.

Education and Specialties

I am a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and a Registered Nurse. Early on in my Master’s program, I discovered my passion for working with couples and individuals working through relational stressors. I have since spent thousands of hours working with this population and helping them reach their goals. I have completed specialized training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and use this empirically validated model to use emotions and attachment theory in work with both couples and individuals. I strive to create a space of inclusivity for clients of all races, cultures, genders, sexual orientation and faiths.

A bit about my marriage

I am a big advocate for fighting stigma around Couples Therapy and therefore, I think it’s important to share that I go to Couples Therapy with my husband too. To us, Couples Therapy is something we incorporate into our lives because our relationship matters to us. We use therapy as a tool to care for our relationship health, just like we care for our physical health. Combining Couples Therapy with books, articles, podcasts, and ongoing attention and focus on our relationship has helped us to maintain a fulfilling and close relationship.

As a Couples Therapist, I hope to be one of those resources for couples who value their relationship and are ready to put in the work to create and maintain a healthy, lasting relationship.
